Online safety
Last updated 29 Oct 2026
WhenToGo isn't a social network. There are no profiles, messages, photos or comment threads.
What people can contribute
- Tick-box reports and ratings about places listed on our pages (how busy, what it cost, how long, parking, food, facilities). These are combined into figures; individual reports aren't shown with any name.
- Free-text notes, suggestions and venue claims, which are private to us. They are never published as written. We read them and use them to correct our own descriptions.
Because people can only leave ratings and reviews of content we publish, and nothing they write is shown to other users, we consider WhenToGo to fall within the "limited functionality" exemption in Schedule 1 of the Online Safety Act 2023. We keep this under review as the site changes, and would carry out a full risk assessment before adding any feature that lets people share content with each other.
Report a concern
If you see anything on WhenToGo that you think is illegal, harmful or wrong, or want to complain about a report we removed, email hello@whentogo.co.uk. We aim to respond within 7 days and to remove anything illegal as soon as we are aware of it.
